Adam Hasz

Adam Hasz is a Home Energy Rebates Implementation Advisor for the U.S. Department of Energy. He strives to advance a more equitable clean energy economy through research and planning. 

Prior to joining the Department of Energy, Adam earned a Master in City Planning degree from the MIT Department of Urban Studies and Planning. During graduate school Adam was a Switzer Fellow and a 1Hotels Fellow with E2 (Environmental Entrepreneurs). Both organizations generously supported his master's thesis research, which explored the potential for energy efficiency investments to reduce inequality within Massachusetts.

Before enrolling at MIT, Adam spent seven years organizing in climate and energy campaigns at the local, state, federal, and international levels. Most recently, Adam directed the climate advocacy organization SustainUS and campaigned for the Paris Agreement to contain a long-term global goal of net zero emissions. Adam graduated summa cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Urban Studies.
