Aisha Saad
About Aisha's Work
Aisha Saad received her JD at Yale Law School. At Yale, Aisha's research focuses on corporate human rights abuses and corporate environmental liability. Prior to law school Aisha completed a DPhil and an MPhil in Nature, Society and Environmental Policy at Oxford University's School of Geography and the Environment. Her doctoral dissertation examined the relationships between law and social movements in shaping the environmental liabilities of corporations. After completing her doctorate, Aisha helped to launch the first Masters in Sustainable Development program in the Middle East. From 2013-2015 she was an Assistant Professor at the American University in Cairo, developing and teaching courses on Social and Environmental Policy, Sustainable Development, and Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility. Aisha graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with highest honors in Environmental Health Science for her thesis on the Nile River negotiations and conflict in the Nile basin. She has worked at the White House Council on Environmental Quality and the Environmental Law Institute.
