About Amanda's Work
Amanda R. Martinez is the Chief Creative Officer and head of brand for Prometheus, an energy startup that uses novel direct air capture technology to turn atmospheric CO2 into zero net carbon fuels and carbon negative goods. Prior to joining Prometheus, Amanda spent ten years as an environmental reporter and science journalist, with work published by The Atlantic, The New Yorker, and Scientific American. She’s also an award-winning dramatic writer, who enjoys exploring the interaction between technology and the human condition. Her play, “The Most Interesting Man in Dave’s Mind,” was a finalist in the 43rd annual Samuel French short play festival and was performed at the Vineyard Theatre in New York City. Her screenplay “Anatomically Modern Human for President” won the award for Best Comedy Short at the Nashville Film Festival. Amanda holds an MS in Science Writing from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BA in Playwriting from Yale University.
