About Christiana's Work

Christiana believes one of the most important ways of effecting change in the environmental community is through improved environmental education and community outreach efforts. In her work as an environmental educator, classroom teacher, curriculum developer and museum exhibit designer, she has tried to create more comprehensive environmental education strategies. To encourage connections between people and their environment, her recent museum exhibit focused on local watersheds and the role of people within their ecosystems. In her education projects, Christiana hopes to encourage participants to explore their local natural resources, examine their environmental behavior, and participate in community issues. Christiana currently works as an environmental educator with the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection.
