About Christine's Work
Christine and her husband John Gardiner run a small watershed consulting service called WaterCycle Inc. They've provided watershed assessments, stormwater planning and urban/ habitat enhancement since 2000. They combine John's civil engineering expertise in river management and stormwater planning with a strong commitment to recovery of physical and biological functions.
They also live and work on a small farm in Cave Junction, Oregon. Riverside Farm is developing a model integrating small livestock into sustainable small-scale crop production. Christine and John believe that sustainable agriculture is a vital key to watershed restoration and true Homeland Security. They value the fine fleece their alpacas produce and the black gold which is used in their composting program. They raise suri alpacas for fun and livelihood.
