About Chuck's Work
Chuck Striplen completed his Masters and PhD in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management at the University of California, Berkeley. He attended archeological field school at California State University – Chico, and received a dual B.A., in Biology and Environmental Studies from UC Santa Cruz. After 14 years at the San Francisco Estuary Institute, Chuck has recently moved to the State Water Resources Control Board - based in the North Coast Regional office in Santa Rosa, CA. There he continues to work on watershed protection, monitoring, stewardship, and restoration activities throughout the North Coast Region. Chuck is currently managing large-scale restoration projects in the Humboldt Bay region, developing a regional water quality monitoring program in the Russian River, and working to enhance protections for resources important to tribes in the North Coast Region.
