About Cynthia's Work

While completing a Master's at UCLA, Cynthia served as principal investigator researching the effects of organophosphate exposure on the reproductive outcomes of farm workers. After completing a second Master's in International Relations, Cynthia worked for a small environmental consulting firm assisting foreign growers to reduce pesticide use. She assisted supermarkets in identifying these growers. For her dissertation, Cynthia researched the impact of US-Mexico border development upon human and environmental health in the contaminated Rio Grande El Paso/Juarez Valley.
