Fair Trade in Colombia: Evan Goldsmith Announces Partnership with AVEDA

Evan Goldsmith (2000), President of Hope for Women based in Burlington, Vermont, announced his organization's partnership with AVEDA to sell locally crafted hair bands made from sustainably harvested tagua nuts in Colombia.  According to Evan, "Hope for Women's artisan partners in Colombia have handcrafted a hair band accessory using tagua nuts, that is included in every AVEDA holiday Gift of Hope set.  AVEDA's partnership with Hope for Women allowed over 400 families to work and receive a fair wage, while also helping to sustainably utilize 400 acres of Colombian rainforest."  Click here to read more about Hope for Women's partnership with AVEDA.
