Favorite type of weather: Dust storms! I am an expert on dust storms and have been studying them for over 30 years.
Most memorable weather event: The dust storm at Owens Lake, California on March 23, 1993: the most intense dust storm on record in North America.
Favorite meteorological term: "Saltation", the process by which grains of sand bounce and hop in the wind and cause a dust storm.
