Johnson to be featured panelist at environmental grantmakers event
The Environmental Grantmakers Association is hosting their 2020 Retreat virtually in October, and Ayana Elizabeth Johnson will be one of the closing plenary speakers.

As a part of our closing plenary at the Virtual Retreat, Shifting Into High Gear: Philanthropy's Duty to Advance Equitable, Systemic Change, we are especially looking forward to being challenged by practitioners who will guide us in . We are thrilled that Farhad Ebrahimi, Dr. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson, and Colette Pichon Battle will join us for this session, to ground us in the challenge of environmental racism impairing our efforts to support a healthy environment, and share insights on the work ahead for philanthropy to craft equitable funding practices while reckoning with its history.
