About Frank's Work
Frank joined New England Forestry Foundation as Deputy Director in November 2013. In that role, Frank oversees NEFF's fundraising and communications and provides input on our strategies to address new audiences and issues in compelling ways. Frank brings over 20 years of experience in conservation, with particularly strong skills in communications and marketing. In his role as Director of Forest Health for North America at The Nature Conservancy in the late 2000s, he oversaw efforts that produced a 20 percent swing in public opinion and reduced the spread of non-native insects impacting our forests. Most recently he served TNC as Climate Adaptation Strategy Leader for the Global Climate Change Team, developing strategies to articulate and recognize nature's benefits to people in response to our changing climate. In the 1990s and early 2000s, he was a regional leader on forest conservation for TNC and served on the board of the Southern New England Forest Consortium. Frank has published three books, including the new Clothed in Bark, and serves as a Senior Fellow in the U.S. Department of State's Energy and Climate Partnership of the Americas.
