About Glenn's Work
In 2020, Glenn was seconded from the US Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) to the Office of the US Trade Representative (USTR), Executive Office of the President, as an Environment Attaché to facilitate the success of the US-Mexico-Canada (USMCA) Free Trade Agreement (FTA), which replaced the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and included a specific chapter dedicated to environmental obligations. The Agreement entered into force in July of 2020, and from 2021 to 2023, Glenn lived in Mexico and worked at the US Embassy in Mexico City, partnering with Mexican Government agencies in wildlife, fisheries, and timber law enforcement under the auspices of USMCA and the provisions of Chapter 24. In 2023, Glenn returned to the US to support FWS wildlife attaches stationed in 10 countries throughout Asia, Latin America, and Africa and served as the Acting Wildlife Law Enforcement Attaché in Kenya.
