About Heather's Work

Heather is a legal fellow at NRDC on the air pollution & environmental justice team in Santa Monica, CA. She earned her JD at Stanford Law School in 2016. She has worked on litigation to strengthen air and water quality regulations, and to expand recognition of climate change impacts in the law through the Stanford Environmental Law Clinic and internships at Environmental Defense Fund and Shute, Mihaly, & Weinberger, LLP. Prior to law school, Heather worked as a community organizer for Green Corps and led grassroots environmental campaigns in several states. She found her passion for working on environmental justice issues while doing research on air pollution and inequality in the St. Louis metro region while completing her B.A. in Environmental Studies at Washington University in St. Louis.
