Jasmine Hyman
About Jasmine's Work
Jasmine Hyman has over fifteen years of experience in climate-compatible development and green finance. Her work at E Co. specialized in project formulation, research surveys, monitoring, evaluation for environmental agencies and development banks. In 2016, Jasmine completed her doctorate at the Yale School of Forestry and the Environment, where she identified design principles for global climate finance schemes that promote equitable development and social justice. Jasmine has also served as an Economic Affairs Officer at the United Nations Department of Economics and Social Affairs, serving on the Secretariat that facilitated negotiations on the Addis Ababa Action Agenda on finance for development. Prior to her research at Yale, Jasmine was the Director of Programs and Partnerships at the Gold Standard Foundation, a certification scheme for greenhouse gas emission reduction projects. Jasmine began her career in climate-compatible development at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, where she worked on the International Year of Rice global awareness campaign, and on the first climate change and food security report from the organization. Jasmine holds degrees from Columbia University (BA 2001), the London School of Economics (MSc 2005), and Yale (Phd, 2017). She currently lives in London.
