About Lynn's Work
Lynn's professional life has included practicing environmental law, being a newspaper reporter, managing a small soil and water conservation organization, resource protection planning, household hazardous waste planning and education, solid waste management, and teaching open space protection and management. Her interests focus on recycling, hazardous waste and water resource protection. She is the Executive Director of the Northeast Recycling Council, focusing on recycling market development. She was also the Conservation Director for the City of Holyoke, the Solid Waste Coordinator for the city of Northampton and the Hazardous Waste Coordinator for the Franklin County Solid Waste Management District. Lynn also served as adjunct faculty at Antioch New England in Keene, NH where she taught open land protection and open land management for several years. She is currently on the Springfield, MA Materials Recycling Facility Advisory Board, the Board of the Franklin County Solid Waste Management Board, and serves on the Massachusetts Hazardous Waste Advisory Committee as as gubernatorial appointee, and on the state Solid Waste Advisory Committee.
