About Michael's Work

Michael Lozano joined The Community Builders, Inc. (TCB) in 2010 as a Development Project Manager in the Northeast Region. He manages all aspects of TCB’s real estate development projects from property scouting and acquisition through design, financing, construction, and lease-up or sales of completed units. He leads and organizes the development team to ensure projects come in on time, create maximum financial return, and make the greatest community impact.

Mr. Lozano is currently the Project Manager of Province Landing, a fifty-unit development in Provincetown, MA that utilizes green building technologies and cluster development site planning on a challenging site. He is also leading pre-development efforts on Cranberry Manor, a fifty-unit project that combines the substantial rehabilitation of twenty four existing units with the construction of twenty six new units into a new development that embraces open space and community.

Prior to joining TCB, Mr. Lozano was a Senior Project Manager and Director of Real Estate Development for two leading Community Development Corporations in Rhode Island. Mr. Lozano has over 7 years of real estate development experience and during his time in Rhode Island directly managed the development of 175 units of mixed-income housing and over 30,000 square feet of commercial space, work that played a major role in the continued revitalization of the cities of Providence and Pawtucket. Mr. Lozano is experienced in “green” building technologies and has extensive experience in both new construction and historic rehabilitation projects. Prior to his work in real estate development, Mr. Lozano worked several years as an architect at firms in Boston and Cambridge, MA. Mr. Lozano is a member of the Board of Directors of the Pawtucket Foundation and serves on the Executive Committee of the Pawtucket Arts Festival.

Mr. Lozano holds a Master of Arts degree in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University.
