Naomi Beyeler

Naomi Beyeler is a PhD candidate in Global Health Sciences at the University of California San Francisco. Her research focuses on climate change and health – looking at how the health sector can both better prepare for and mitigate the health risks of climate change, and contribute to efforts to strengthen climate policy. Applying qualitative and implementation science methods, she works closely with government, civil society, and international partners to develop policy-relevant research. Naomi additionally co-directs the Evidence to Policy Initiative at the UCSF Global Health Group, where she leads projects on climate policy, health systems strengthening, and health financing in the Asia Pacific region. Naomi has Master’s degrees in Public Health and City Planning from the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied the social determinants of health. Prior to joining UCSF, Naomi worked in California and globally on a number of health issues including criminal justice, immigration, and maternal and child health.
