Patricia Switzer, Founder and Friend, 1913-2011
In late December, I received word that Patricia Switzer, who with her husband Robert Switzer started this foundation, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family. She was a strong spirit, with a wonderful sense of humor, great independence and was unfailing in her support of the Foundation's mission in service of environmental leaders. I feel fortunate to have known her, as well as all of the family members who have helped bring to life the positive vision of a world better able to sustain our environment for all the benefits, values and inspiration it provides.
