About Rachel's Work

Rachel is a graduate of Vermont Law School and the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. Through this program, she pursued a Juris Doctor and Master of Environmental Management degrees. She focused on the relationships between environmental law and business strategy, particularly in the realms of land use and energy strategy in New England. She studied geography at Dartmouth College, where she co-founded Dartmouth Outdoor Leadership Experience, a leadership program for middle school students in New Hampshire. After college, Rachel was a teacher at Community High School in Nashville, Tennessee, and worked in Washington, D.C., for The Wilderness Society and Americans for our Heritage and Recreation. During graduate school, she worked for a regional business law firm in New Hampshire, completed an externship at the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in Concord, New Hampshire, and was a Research Assistant at the Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy.
