About Rob's Work
Robert is on the faculty at Clemson University in South Carolina. As a doctoral student at the University of Maine (Ecology and Environmental Sciences, 2005) working with Fellow and Leadership Grantee Aram Calhoun, he received a fellowship (2003) supporting his project on vernal pool ecology and conservation. Based on his work projecting threats to amphibian habitat, he received a Leadership Grant (2005) to develop a Future Human Footprint with the transboundary conservation collaborative Two Countries, One Forest (2C1Forest). Rob's collaboration with Middlebury College professor Steve Trombulak began with Steve's participation as Rob's fellowship mentor. They have authored papers, and are co-editing 'Ecoregional Conservation Planning' (Springer-Verlag). Current projects Rob has include assessing risks to North American Protected Areas (in collaboration with the Commission for Environmental Cooperation), identifying at risk wetlands (EPA), and other projects related to landscape scale conservation.
