About Ruben's Work

Ruben has and continues to conduct natural history research of the Federally endangered arroyo toad (Bufo californicus) throughout Southern California including lands managed by the Angeles, San Bernardino and Cleveland National Forests in cooperation with the United States Forest Service (USFS). He is also working on several Habitat Conservation Plans (HCP) and Mitigation Banks in Southern California for Cadre Environmental, a private consulting firm in San Diego County where he serves as a Research Biologist/Owner. Ruben has also recently been appointed to the Los Angeles County Significant Ecological Areas Technical Advisory Committee (SEATAC).
