About Sarah's Work
Sarah is the Biodiversity Manager at Chevron. Located in the Corporate Health, Environment, and Safety Department, Sarah is responsible for promoting and supporting biodiversity protection and enhancement activities in association with Chevron's operations around the world. As a part of this work, she participates in trade organization activities focused on biodiversity protection and fosters relationships with NGOs engaged in biodiversity protection.
Prior to joining Chevron, Sarah was Associate Director of Sustainable Conservation, an environmental nonprofit based in San Francisco, where she developed and led partnerships with industry focused on the development and adoption of more sustainable business practices.
Sarah also worked for six years at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC, where she directed science policy studies of environmental issues. She holds an AB in Chemistry from Bryn Mawr College, a MS in Environmental Engineering from Stanford University, and a Ph.D. in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management from the University of California at Berkeley.
