About William's Work

Bill is the Daniel Tellep Distinguished Professor of Environmental Engineering at UC Berkeley. His research focuses on natural science and technology aspects of indoor air quality and improving our understanding of the source-receptor relationships for air pollution exposure. Bill is editor-in-chief of the journal, Indoor Air.' He is a fellow and past president of the American Association for Aerosol Research (AAAR). He currently serves as President of the Academy of Fellows for the International Society on Indoor Air Quality and Climate. He teaches courses in climate-change mitigation, environmental engineering principles, and air quality engineering. He is coauthor of a textbook on the application of science and technology in improving environmental quality (William W Nazaroff and Lisa Alvarez-Cohen, Environmental Engineering Science, Wiley, 2001).
