Hsu speaks on particulate air pollution on PBS Energy Switch

Fellow(s): Angel Hsu

Angel Hsu was a guest on PBS Energy Switch’s episode, Environmental Impacts of Energy on Air, looking at air pollution from energy and how we could reduce it.

“Particulate matter pollution is the fourth leading risk factor for death worldwide,” Angel said. “It’s the number one environmental killer.”

She continues, “the fact is there aren’t universal standards for air pollution reduction. And as a result you have a lot of countries that are doing different things. They’re betting on certain technology winners, as opposed to really thinking about what is the goal that we’re trying to establish.”
