Welles co-chairs Yale Environmental Sustainability Summit
More than 400 alumni, faculty, staff, students, and outside experts will gather on Nov. 6-7 in the premiere Yale Environmental Sustainability Summit. The gathering is a university-wide collaboration originated by several alumni, and is being co-organized with the Yale School of Management (SOM), the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies (F&ES), the Yale Center for Business and the Environment, and other campus partners.

Holly Welles ’88 M.F.S., a co-chair of the summit along with Pineda, Jaime Carlson ’08 M.E.M. ’09 M.B.A., and Jennifer Molnar ’04 M.E.M., notes that the event carries forth the vision for a more unified and innovative Yale promoted.
“We are delighted by the response to this summit, reflected by full registration well in advance,” Welles said. “There are alumni from across five decades, drawn from the college, graduate school, and seven professional schools, together with faculty, students, and staff from throughout the university. The issues of global sustainability are interconnected, so it is gratifying to see the enthusiasm for this summit from across so many schools, departments, and disciplines.”
