About Leigh's Work
Leigh has returned to school to pursue a PhD in ecology and environmental health at Yale F&ES. Her research focuses on assessing change in the environmental health of urban ecosytems over time. These studies build upon Leigh's earlier work as Director of Yale's Urban Resources Initiative (URI), a program which combines education, community extension, and research in order to effectively restore the damaged urban environment. Before coming to Yale, Leigh worked as a Peace Corps volunteer in Mali, West Africa as a community forester.
