As part of the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero team, Zineb will be using data to drive the global financial sector’s work to ensure financing and capital allocation decisions enable the world to reach net zero by 2050 and combat the worst effects of global climate change.

In early March, a life-sized statue of Switzer Fellow Dr. Kimberley Miner was stationed at the Smithsonian along with more than 120 IF/THEN® Women in STEM Ambassadors. In honor of Women’s History Month, we spoke with Kimberley about her experience inspiring future leaders in STEM and what she’s been working on lately as a climate scientist at NASA.

To continue to lift its population out of poverty, India should give its energy ministries a new mandate—moving the country away from coal and toward a more sustainable economy.

“I was initially pretty skeptical of the entire idea [of pivoting to fertilizer],” Kevin Kung says. “I didn’t think it was feasible. But the local team really proved me wrong and has validated the improved yield and the impact on farmers. For me, it’s been an inspiring journey.”

“It’s both an exciting and daunting time to step into this role,” Colleen said. “Bold action on the climate crisis is urgently needed. I’m humbled to have this opportunity to expand the center’s collaborations with frontline communities, policymakers and others to help advance solutions.”

“This really has to do with discriminatory planning processes in which communities of color and low-income communities are often located near ports, major roadways and distribution centers, and so therefore are disproportionately exposed to diesel exhaust,” Regan says.
