On March 13-14, 2016, staff and Fellows convened in Washington, DC, for our second annual Policy Communications training with our partners at COMPASS! We kicked off the training with our 30th anniversary reception at which nearly 70 alumni...
Each year, the Foundation shares its pride in the success of each Fellow and his or her commitment to environmental improvement through science, policy, research and activism. In 2016 we will celebrate the Foundation’s 30th anniversary and...

We have provided funding to 2009 Fellow Carolina Balazs for her ongoing work on historical inequalities in distribution of clean water to disadvantaged communities in California's agricultural Central Valley. Watch our recent webinar with Carolina, and read more about how her work has expanded recently to strengthen engagement between California’s Integrated Regional Water Management (IRWM) and communities facing environmental injustices.

The Switzer Foundation seeks to maximize positive environmental impact through individual and collective activities and leveraged grant resources. We partially funded 2011 Fellow Sarah Uhl's work with the Clean Air Task Force to reduce methane emissions from the oil and gas industry. Her work helped lead to a major White House initiative. Watch our June 2014 webinar with Sarah, and read more about how her work influenced policy on this important greenhouse gas issue.
We are settling in to the peak fall foliage season here in Maine, and this time marks one of the most fulfilling parts of our annual cycle of activity here at the Foundation: the annual fall Fellows’ retreats in California and New England.
