Moffitt now postdoctoral scholar with Future of Ice Initiative
We are pleased to have in residence the recipients of the inaugural Future of Ice post-doctoral fellowships below.
Sarah Moffitt, Oceanography and Quaternary Research Center, is a climate and ocean scientist with expertise in the ecological consequences of abrupt climate warming. Dr. Moffitt joins the Future of Ice Initiative at the University of Washington to study past events of abrupt climate change in the polar ocean, and to understand rapid shifts in sea ice, ocean circulation and ocean gateways specifically in the Bering Sea. Dr. Moffitt is a fifth generation Washingtonian and is deeply committed to a sustainable and vibrant Pacific Northwest.
